The DISNEYLAND MOUNTAIN RANGE
The Matterhorn (1959)
The Matterhorn Bobsleds were the most significant part of Disneyland's first major exoansion. Six new attractions were added in June of 1959, including the Matterhorn Bobsleds and the Submarine Voyage, and these two new attractions became the first rides to require the newly added E-ticket coupons.
The Matterhorn Bobsleds were first steel roller coaster ever built, and ironically remains unique to Disneyland, as it has never been replicated at any other Disney theme park. (It should be noted, however, that the Florida Magic Kingdom version of Space Mountain is essentially an indoor version of the Matterhorn, and is much more closely related to the Matterhorn than it is to the Anaheim version of Space Mountain)

Space Mountain (1977)
Disneyland had been considering a Spaceport type addition to Tomorrowland for many years and had not come to any definite solution. A few years after the Magic Kingdom had opened in Florida, they added the Matterhorn Bobsled roller coaster--just with a few changes: entirely indoors, with a space theme to fit the Tomorrowland location, and a new name: Space Mountain--and it was a huge success.
The Anaheim version of Space Mountain is significantly smaller than its Florida namesake and is an entirely different roller coaster altogether. This version of Space Mountain is the only version to be copied at other Disney Parks, as it is nearly the same as the sister attractions at Tokyo Disneyland, and Hong Kong Disneyland.

Big Thunder Mountain (1979)
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad premiered in California and has been replicated at three other locations worldwide.
Admittedly, this is the weakest drawing of the set.

Splash Mountain (1989)
Splash Mountain, which actually contains a peak named Chickapin Hill from Song of the South, this iconic attraction located in Critter Country features a flume drop in the front that hurdles riders down toward the briar patch below.
The future of this series includes:
- A REDO of Big Thunder Mountain
- Addition of Grizzly Mountain
- Addition of the Cadillac Mountain Range
